Cdn-Firearms Digest Thursday, May 29 2008 Volume 11 : Number 482 In this issue: Miller's 'City State' Re: Toronto Anti-firearms Propaganda ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Thu, 29 May 2008 09:17:53 -0600 (CST) From: "Todd Birch" Subject: Miller's 'City State' The organizations that purport to represent the interests of the RFC are looking rather impotent in the light of Miller's threatened actions to shut down ranges. His agenda is tantamount to declaring Toronto a 'city state' within a larger entity. The powers of a mayor need to be confined to reasonable parameters, but in the end, the voters have the final say. Barring a discreditation, he appears to have carte blanche in pursuing his goal of allowing only criminals to discharge firearms in Toronto, on city streets. Boycotting Trawna as a strategy? It is to laugh .... westerners have been boycotting the place for decades; quelle difference? The immigrant population negates any such actions. It merely creates another "solitude" within the country, along with Quebec. We need a plan that will unite all gun owners , not just the ones on here, unfortunately I dont have the smarts to formulate such a device. It would appear that the NFA is a lame duck since DT left so quickly and sadly. I havent hard much from them in organizing Kanadas RFC community. It would appear that we are either hunters or recreational shooters but not both(in most cases) and this is where the problem lies . Each thinks its the others problem , when it isnt , its all of ours , together . We need a leader like DT to get us organized as a group, not a mere 30,000 at Ottawa but a grand total of ALL gun-owners in Kanada. (Which number in the millions.) Until we do THAT? we are blowing smoke and whistling in the wind ; note the action of Harper in relegating Breitkreuz to a back bench, and many other actions by Day to mollify us until , (they say ) they get a majority. But can you believe a government who is as perfidious as the Lieberals ? They have lied to us since they threw out the Reform ideals. The income trust lie. Remove the GST when gas goes to .85 cents a liter, and on and on. We need to buy ads in newspapers if we cant get the media to print the truth on its own,? then we will find some ? who will, for the almighty dollar. I`m afraid I dont know how to go about this "reform " but I`m sure some on here will have the answer. ed/on ------------------------------ End of Cdn-Firearms Digest V11 #482 *********************************** Submissions: mailto:cdn-firearms-digest@scorpion.bogend.ca Mailing List Commands: mailto:majordomo@scorpion.bogend.ca Moderator's e-mail address: mailto:drg.jordan@sasktel.net List owner: mailto:owner-cdn-firearms@scorpion.bogend.ca FAQ list: http://www.canfirearms/Skeeter/Faq/cfd-faq1.html Web Site: http://www.canfirearms.ca CFDigest Archives: http://www.canfirearms.ca/archives To unsubscribe from _all_ the lists, put the next four lines in a message and mailto:majordomo@scorpion.bogend.ca unsubscribe cdn-firearms-digest unsubscribe cdn-firearms-chat unsubscribe cdn-firearms end (To subscribe, use "subscribe" instead of "unsubscribe".)
