I do thank the several contributors to this cause . . . . but what the heck is different about this action than the 1995 Party Time . . . that enjoyed very limited success . . . . because the same prime 'target' audience didn't get off their hands then - and won't in 2008. In '95 we had a pretty well orchestrated riding infiltration scheme and even, for the brave and adventuresome, riding takeover plan enroute to a major overhaul of Party policy. We had numerous sound bites and many still have their old "Remember C-68 when You Vote" decals. We held Fed Up I and II. We were on network TV. We filled the Centre Block. We clogged up the 401 with chartered buses headed to the Hill. Our man Dennis recently provided 'another' copy of the Parliamentary Information and Research Service's "Legislative Options to Decriminalize Unauthorized Possession of A Firearm." Post it again, Dennis. From one who's been suggesting 'Amend' rather than 'Repeal' which gained no audience in 1995, have we all read it. Why are we rushing, lemming-like to repeat the past? As Ontario's No. 1 Blue Tory, Bob Runciman would say, "There's NO appetite for repealing Ch. 39." ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 17 Jul 2008 10:49:33 -0600 From: Med Crotteau Subject: Re: NFA There is no question, a Trust is required! I'm of the opinion, that Richmond, and another so called Provincial Gun lobby are not Candidates for holding any of the Collection. I strongly oppose them, and have been told in no uncertain terms, that one of them would not oppose the C-68 Chapter 39 mandate of the Gov't. Go back to the 1930's Hitler era. He promised a car in every driveway, and we still see bugs ( Volkswagon ) on the road today! Do not forget, the Brown Shirts ( NWEST ) and the People who just disappeared, and it was ok for awhile. They only burnt books (?) Finally 1945 came. We need a Leader. Put us down, Beat us but we keep on working against Chapter 39! By God, you, or anyone else give me something that works, and i'll be there! We had the media in the Fed Up II Rally, (?) Don't you remeber Anne Mc Clellan standing behind the Glass, and she had the Media Sequestered! The Media adamantly refused to put the cameras on the Snipers! The OPP pulled some of the Buses over and Searched them ( intimidation ). I'm grateful for Gary Breitkreuz MP, who's sitting on a back bench, because of Chapter 39. The Moderator on this Digest is doing wonders, and not Complaining either! We need a Leader, and you are right, a Theme.
