The prohibited firearms list raises a question.

If there is no means for people to register prohibited firearms why do the
numbers of prohibited firearms registered ever increase?

Are prohibited firearms being registered into the system?  Or is there a
problem with the database?

Or are certain currently registered guns being classed as prohibited and
changing class?

Or is there another answer?
